Time Burnt It

An essence of infancy

When my eyes met yours

There was composed the untold story

We played, we were so close.

Then time did intervene

And away you flew

Time emerged the same scene,

It swayed me away too.

Lo, the wheel of time spun,

Came across a wooden bridge

Long was it, but flicked a view

Flying our arms closer we run

Oh, yes it was you.

When eve' grew,we returned to the edge

A promise to meet again was made.

Everyday we came to see

To share all new discovery

It went so good...

Love was in the air

Sudden;y time pulled the hood

The bridge burned, it dint spare.

I stood this side,

You stood that

We saw the bridge burnt

To ashes it turned.

Glowing flames challenged

Us, to come close ,to be loved

In a try to put it off

Only hands burnt through flames groff

Through fumes rage persistent

Tried in vain but poised distant

Only to see each other's flaw

Now ready to throw each other a claw;

Forgot our innocent life

Pained tough but forgot to thrive

Burned and burned till nothing left,

But both stood theft.

Theft by time, tricked by rage;

Instigated by failure, all emotions fade.

Now we realise we are unharmed

Innocent love has waited along

Still I stand this side

While you stand to that

Between us there lie the huge gap.

The gap which now forbid,

To clutch each other hand in hand,

To stare in the eyeball hard,

To pull in a tight hug and say

Its all over let's start a new way.
